Concert Memory
This was my first Poco concert. They blew everyone off the stage, including headliners Seals & Crofts. I was impressed by their tight sound and Al Garth was definitely a great addition to the group. His sax solo on ‘Starin’ at the Sky’ and his fiddle playing during ‘Too Many Nights Too Long’ were set highlights as far as I was concerned. But perhaps the most fulfilling moment was when George came out from behind the drums and he, Tim and Paul did a gutsy acoustic ‘Keep on Tryin” in front of a rowdy rock crowd. It sounded better than the record.
