Concert Memory

This was the wonderful day that Jon Rosenbaum and I met Dennis Richards and his family for the first time. As only a Poco fan would do, he literally opened his home to us. His beautiful wife Dee cooked us a wonderful dinner and then we went to the show. We met up with Rusty and Paul for their soundcheck and after about a 50 minute opening set for Creedence Clearwater Revisited (Poco had to cut the show short when they were told, on stage, that they had 10 minutes left, which we thought was a lousy way to run the program), we were invited back to their dressing room trailer, where we took pictures, got autographs, etc. This was the first time I had really sat down and chatted with Rusty and Paul and found they were as friendly and open as could be. But the real key to the night was Dennis and his family. Just wonderful people who have become and remained very, very good friends.
