Concert Memories
I also remember driving out to see Poco at Mt. St. Mary ’s College in Emmittsburg on April 23, 1972. Since my parents were away, I drove some friends in the good car, which almost got stuck in the parking area, which was just a grassy field. The concert was in the field house, which was a Quonset hut sort of building with lots of echo. We had a great time, though. The opening band all wore Hawaiian shirts, which must have made an impression on me.

Friends and I drove up from University of Md for the (ugh) Sunday night concert. I will never forget, sadly, when the concert is going great,Timothy B Schmit comes up to the microphone and says ,very swarmly, sarcastic, frustrated “Here is our last real big hit!!!” and then they play “Good Feeling To Know” which had tanked by then, and we all know should have broken them big nationwide. I was quite sad for them not getting their due.
