Concert Memory
My brother woke me up about 10 a.m. that Sunday and read me an ad for the Jam that day. I jumped out of bed, hit the car and drove like a bat out of hell to Nashville. Poco played a 20-minute set about 2:30 or so, four or five songs including ‘Crazy Love,’ ‘Call It Love,’ and ‘Ghost Town.’ The coolest things about this set was that by the time Poco began playing, all these other acts just ringed the stage to see them — the only time that day anything like that occurred. Also two guys behind me claimed that they were the co-writers of ‘Call It Love,’ and were trying to get backstage to see the band — no such luck, last I saw of them. Poco was good that day, a bit rusty but strong in spirit.
