Same tour as the Buffalo and Philadelphia shows that circulate on tape. Easily, the most interesting Poco show I have ever seen. Two sets, about two and a half hours. ‘Ride the Country’ with mandolin by Rusty; medley of ‘Keep on Tryin’,’ ‘Pickin’ Up the Pieces,’ and ‘A Child’s Claim to Fame.’ Also Poco played ‘Grand Junction,’ ‘Hoedown,’ a great, great show. Sundrud also did ‘Chasin’ Love,’ which was fine. Steve Chapman played drums. One of my favorite Poco lineups too. Rusty was in love with Sundrud. He told me, “I wish we had found him five or six years ago!” They had just sent demos to CBS Nashville, but got turned down. Second set ended at a little after 3 a.m. This was the last time I saw the Rusty/Paul version of Poco but what a way to go!
