Concert Memory
I was also at the November 1980 show at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, CA (I have the ad from the L.A. Times for this show, someplace). At the Perkins Palace show, I remember that they were great and that it was the first time I’d ever heard ‘Bad Weather.’ I was a new fan and didn’t know their older material, so I thought I was hearing a new song! I also remember that I tried to sneak backstage after the show, making it to the bottom of the stairs on the south side of the building and seeing Kim Bullard talking to some people, but then I chickened out and went back up the stairs and hung around in the parking lot. Shortly after that , Paul Cotton came up the stairs and was just standing around. I caught his eye, and he said, “Hello.” I was too chicken to ask for an autograph , later kicking myself for being a fool.
