Poco reaches the end of the trail this year (for real). Nashville guitarist Tom Hampton joins, replacing Lex Browning. Poco signs up for the Ultimate 70s Tour with Orleans and Pure Prairie League. But after a few shows, Poco are forced to cancel their remaining bookings when the COVID-19 shutdown is enforced in the spring of the year. It appeared that Poco would return to live performing in 2021, but it wasn’t to be. Rusty Young passed away on April 21, 2021. The only member of Poco to perform in every live concert, Rusty’s passing brought an end to the live performing career of Poco. The remaining three members, Jack Sundrud, Rick Lonlow, and Tom Hampton joined up with Bill Lloyd and are recording and performing as Cimarron 615.
