Concert Memory
I saw Poco at Winterland in August 1973. I believe it was 8/11/73 but it has been awhile. They were tremendous. Actually, Mark-Almond was great too, and even Robin Trower was OK (later on we figured out he only kind of had one lick, but it was new then). Interestingly, opening act David Blue had a ‘surprise special guest’ of Graham Nash. It was a big deal at the time, but it was still dull. Blue’s band included future Eagle Don Felder (and I believe future Bob Weir bassist John Mauceri).
