In many ways it appears as if Poco has fallen off the map by this year. Atlantic Records had lost interest in the group and Poco felt the disinterest. Kim Bullard had returned to the Crosby, Stills, Nash backing band so a new keyboardist was needed. Rick Seratte, a musical acquaintance of Charlie Harrison joins the band on keyboards. Harrison lasts only a couple shows before he is fired. Poco does quick auditions and selects local LA club musician Jeff Steele as Harrison’s replacement. This tour reflects the puzzle that Poco’s career has become as they play more upscale venues during the summer but also play those out-of-the-way clubs. By the end of the summer, Rusty and Paul dismiss their band and physically move to Nashville to reboot Poco.
